Information Technology Support Technician

IT Support Technician Onsite, Chicago, IL Salary up to $110,000

We are working with a growing organization seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide hands‑on technical support across its office and operational environments. This is a fully onsite position suited to someone comfortable supporting everything from everyday user issues to plant‑floor technology, infrastructure and endpoint management

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for users across office and operational settings.
• Diagnose issues involving Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, software, connectivity, printers and mobile devices.
• Configure and maintain laptops, desktops, tablets, scanners, printers and other equipment.
• Manage support tickets, document resolutions and escalate more complex issues when required.
• Support user onboarding, account creation, access changes and equipment setup. Troubleshoot technology used across manufacturing, warehousing, inventory and shipping operations.
• Support barcode scanners, label printers, shared workstations and mobile devices.
• Administer users, permissions and group access through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra .
• Assist with Intune, device compliance, application deployment and endpoint policies.
• Support Windows servers and help troubleshoot basic network and infrastructure issues.
• Assist with VPNs, wireless networks, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
• Maintain IT asset records, technical documentation and equipment inventories.
• Coordinate with external vendors and support local IT projects and technology rollouts.
• Help maintain internal security, compliance and operational standards.

• 3+ years of experience in IT support, desktop support, systems administration or a similar position.
• Strong experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices and hardware.
• Knowledge of Active Directory or Microsoft Entra .
• Experience supporting Windows server environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and wireless connectivity.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
• Comfortable working onsite within a fast-paced operational environment.

• Previous experience supporting a manufacturing, warehouse or distribution environment.
• Microsoft Intune, MDM or endpoint-management experience.
• Experience supporting barcode scanners, label printers or other operational technology.
• Familiarity with ERP, inventory, warehouse or production systems.
• Exposure to VMware, Hyper‑V or another virtualization platform.
• Basic Power Shell or automation knowledge.
• Experience with endpoint security, access reviews or vulnerability remediation.
• Experience coordinating with third‑party vendors or managed service providers.
