Demand Planner – Waukegan, IL (Direct Hire) We are currently seeking an experienced Demand Planner for a direct hire, permanent opportunity with a fast-growing client in Waukegan, IL! Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with demand planners to ensure timely and accurate forecasts.
- Oversee approval workflows for items within the 4-week planning lock.
- Maintain 6-week rolling outlooks and support day-to-day planning questions.
- Monitor out-of-resource (OOR) items and production orders for compliance and timeliness.
- Track production execution, escalate risks, and support critical campaigns/programs.
- Develop and analyze reports to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Identify reporting gaps and build custom analytics for trend and accuracy monitoring.
- Leverage data to spot risks, opportunities, and improvements.
- Create and maintain SOPs related to demand planning and forecasting.
- Assist in standardizing processes and maintaining audit readiness.
- 98% on-time forecast completion.
- 95% compliance with 4-week planning lock.
- Maintain accurate 6-week forward visibility on priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in demand planning, supply chain, buying, or related roles.
- Background in manufacturing, CPG, or distribution environments.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and risk-identification abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, intermediate/advanced Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain workflows.
- Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Ability to clearly present and explain findings to stakeholders.
