Uline Inc., a leading North American distributor, is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead operations in our Supply Chain, Logistics & Procurement department. In this role, you will oversee warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring accurate, on-time deliveries and optimal inventory flow. Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and uphold Uline's high service standards. Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of Uline's distribution center to ensure safe, accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping.
  • Develop and execute labor plans, staffing schedules and workflow priorities to meet service level, productivity and cost targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time shipping, order accuracy, inventory accuracy and productivity metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement using data analysis and lean principles to streamline processes, reduce waste and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Transportation and Customer Service teams to support forecasted demand and resolve operational issues.
  • Oversee inventory control practices, cycle counts and root cause analysis of discrepancies to maintain high inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and other safety standards, promoting a culture of safety in the facility.
  • Coach, develop and mentor supervisors and front-line associates, providing performance feedback and supporting career growth.
  • Participate in budgeting and cost management activities, identifying opportunities to optimize operating expenses while maintaining service quality.
  • Support implementation of new systems, equipment and process changes, ensuring effective adoption and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Represent distribution operations in cross-functional projects focused on network optimization, capacity planning and service enhancement.
