Paste Production Specialist, Nielsen-Massey Vanillas
The Paste Production Specialist is primarily responsible for Mixing and Blending Paste batches based on orders. This individual will collaborate with supervisors and team members to create production plans, workflow requirements, and pre-operation activities for proper equipment startup. Document and track product and requirements as needed. Resolve production, quality, and safety issues. Train team members on systems and devices, assess production needs, resolve errors on the line, and improve production rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor employees and work area for unsafe actions or conditions and set the example
- Stop any acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Achieve production throughput against targets
- Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency
- Ensure equipment is maintained, cleaned, and all systems are functioning correctly
- Timely completion of all Quality / Production records
- Ensure that team members follow SQF / GMP Quality & Production procedures.
- Create a healthy and motivating work environment
- Daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success
- Discover training needs and provide coaching
- Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflict
- Coach team members on achieving goals, developing necessary skills, and provide feedback.
- Promote high standards through personal example and ensure team understands the behaviors and actions expected of them
- Provide Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery.
- Work effectively with other departments that support the manufacturing process

Attendance:
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.
Knowledge and Characteristics:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
