Setup Technician

Maintenance Supervisor

The Setup Technician is responsible for the maintenance of machinery and equipment, to include troubleshooting machinery errors.

All duties as assigned and the following specific activities.

• Add, remove and adjust packaging machinery, such as case erector, bottle sorter, date code machinery, and cappers, to run various sizes of product and liquid fill packaging production cells.
• Troubleshoot machine and auxiliary equipment problems, during setup/change-over, and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime
• Organizing change parts and maintaining areas as directed by management to facilitate rapid changeover protocols.
• Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures and set a good example for others

• Communicate effectively and professionally with employees, at all levels of the organization, and customers.
• Demonstrates critical thinking when troubleshooting machinery.
• Displays workplace safety awareness by adhering to company safety policies/procedures.

• Education:
  
  Technical Degree or equivalent educational/military experience
• Experience:
  
  1 – 3 yrs. prior Setup/Change-Over Technician experience
• Liquid filling Machine experience strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Technology/Software:
  Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel
• Communication:
  Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful.

• Strength:
  Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.
• Movement:
  Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight hour shift. Occasional bending, crouching, and crawling
• Hearing:
  Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment
• Vision:
  Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly
