Grinding / Deburring Operator

Pay Rate Range Starting at 17-21$

Grinding (Night shift) 2:30PM – 10:30PM

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Grinding / Deburring Operator to help produce high-quality sheet metal components. This hands‑on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, follows safety procedures, and enjoys working as part of a production team. Previous on‑the‑job department experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

• Perform deburring operations on sheet metal components using handheld or bench grinders
• Inspect work pieces for burrs, sharp edges, surface defects, and other imperfections
• Use measuring tools, including calipers and gauges, to verify dimensions and specifications
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain and clean grinding equipment and the surrounding work area
• Work with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic understanding of sheet metal processes desired
• Familiarity with deburring equipment and tools preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
• Previous on‑the‑job department experience preferred; training is available

Physical Requirements

• 20/20 vision with or without correction
• Use of hands throughout the entire shift
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and twist
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

This position may involve exposure to dust and fumes, hot‑work hazards, energy‑control hazards, machinery, noise and vibration, ergonomic hazards, chemicals, sharp edges and protrusions, and foreign‑body eye abrasion.
