School-Based Registered Nurse; RN | Waukegan, Illinois

A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide nursing services within a K-12 school setting located in Waukegan, IL. This part-time contract position requires approximately 10 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM during the school year calendar (CSY).

• Administer and monitor medication and treatment plans for students as prescribed
• Conduct health assessments and screenings, including vision, hearing, and general wellness checks
• Collaborate with school staff and families to manage student health needs effectively
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Respond promptly to student health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Educate students and staff on health and safety protocols to promote a healthy school environment

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in school nursing preferred, particularly within K-12 environments
• Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues and school health regulations
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and educators
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during scheduled hours
