We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our team at Haven of Bridgeport, a dedicated provider of post‑hospital rehabilitation and long‑term skilled nursing care. As a Director of Nursing at our facility, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall nursing operations, supervising a team of licensed nurses, and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality patient care. Your expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards of care that meet or exceed industry standards. You will work closely with our medical director, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure that our facility meets the needs of our residents and their families.

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care that promote excellence in patient care
• Supervise and mentor a team of licensed nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure high‑quality patient care
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive improvements in patient care and outcomes
• Recruit, train, and develop a high‑performing nursing team
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes respect, empathy, and open communication

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing leadership role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Passion for delivering high‑quality patient care and promoting excellence in nursing practice
