Allure of Walnut is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (RN) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest level of care for our residents.
As the Director of Nursing, you will play a vital leadership role in overseeing clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, and promoting a culture of excellence in resident-centered care.

Position SummaryThe Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the nursing department. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting high-quality clinical outcomes and a positive work environment.
The DON collaborates closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to maintain high standards of care, strong staff engagement, and excellent resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure exceptional resident care
- Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and clinical programs
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and survey readiness
- Monitor quality indicators and implement improvement initiatives
- Conduct regular clinical audits and evaluations to improve care outcomes
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and nursing department operations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless resident care
- Support staff education, mentorship, and professional development
- Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and open communication
- Participate in budgeting and financial oversight for the nursing department
- Promote resident dignity, safety, and quality of life
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois
- Minimum 5 years of experience in long-term care or post-acute rehabilitation
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care
- Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annually
