Kirby Bates Interim Leadership is seeking experienced Interim Leaders for the Emergency Department and Acute Care Services. These leaders will provide steady, hands‑on clinical and operational leadership during a leadership transition. This interim opportunity is ideal for a nurse leader who can step in quickly, stabilize throughput and staffing, support front‑line teams, and maintain high standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Qualifications for the Emergency Department leader- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Interim Leadership experience in the Emergency Department
- Strong working knowledge of IDPH regulations, Joint Commission standards, EMTALA, and emergency care best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through transition, manage change, and stabilize department operations quickly
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required
- TNCC strongly preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Interim Leadership experience in the Med/Surg, Tele, Critical Care, and Oncolo
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through transition, manage change, and stabilize department operations quickly
- Strong working knowledge of IDPH regulations, Joint Commission standards, and acute care best practice
Our leaders receive an attractive compensation package including housing, transportation, and regular travel.
The pay rate for this position is $800.00 to $900.00 per day ($208,000 - $234,000 annually). The final pay rate is determined by experience, expertise, and education.
