We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Emergency Department (ED) Nurse Manager to lead our fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department.
Position Summary:
The ED Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily operations, supervision, and coordination of all clinical activities within the Emergency Department. This leadership role works closely with staff, physicians, and hospital administration to ensure quality patient care, staff development, regulatory compliance, and departmental efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and direction to nursing and support staff in the Emergency Department.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and best practices.
Foster a patient-centered care environment that emphasizes safety, compassion, and efficiency.
Oversee scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations of ED personnel.
Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in strategic planning for the ED.
Serve as a mentor and resource for clinical staff; promote professional development and education.
Current Illinois RN license (required).
BSN required; MSN or Master's in Healthcare Administration preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in Emergency Services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
