Farmers Insurance - District 22/25 is looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative to work out of one of our thriving agencies. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment and enjoy connecting with people to drive new business, this role is for you.

Ready to transfer your sales experience into business ownership? While prior insurance experience isn't required, a solid background in sales, account management, or business development is essential. We provide the industry‑specific training and mentorship you need to translate your existing relationship‑building skills into a lifelong, profitable career path.

This role is specifically designed as a stepping stone for future entrepreneurs; we provide the roadmap and hands‑on experience necessary to eventually transition into running your own agency. We will teach you everything you need to know, and you will continue growing your knowledge with our mentorship and training.

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and community engagement
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and referrals
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options
  • Follow up on leads quickly and consistently to move prospects through the sales pipeline
  • Prepare quotes, present solutions, and close sales to meet production goals
Requirements
  • Active or ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses (fully‑paid by Farmers)
  • Proficiency in Communication and excellent Customer Service skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is an advantage but not mandatory
