Commercial HVAC​/Refrigeration Technician

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems using building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
• Work with BMS technicians to adjust systems and improve equipment performance
• Inspect, maintain, and repair building HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment life and reduce downtime
• Review work orders, estimate materials, and complete repairs promptly
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies
• Perform emergency repairs and respond to urgent facility issues
• Complete maintenance records and documentation
• Support general building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and painting repairs
• Assist with managing contractors and vendors
• Respond to internal service requests and facility support tickets
• Troubleshoot complex equipment controls and building systems
• Train and support other maintenance team members
• Build positive relationships with internal customers, vendors, and team members
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Universal CFC Certification
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, or a combination of related education and experience
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to personal safety and the safety of others
• Ability to complete OSHA 10 certification within six months of hire
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF applications
• Experience working with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) preferred
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred
• Basic knowledge of budgeting and maintenance cost management preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs or ladders
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in mechanical rooms and various facility environments

Proficient in managing maintenance tasks, documentation, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal facility operations.
