Foster Care Licensing and Recruitment Specialist

Arden Shore Child and Family Services is seeking a dedicated Foster Care Licensing and Recruitment Specialist to oversee the licensing process for new foster parents, relative caregivers and maintaining licenses for already licensed foster parents.

Salary: $60,000–$67,500 annually, based on education, experience, and bilingual qualifications.

Additional compensation: Mileage reimbursement, professional development, and advancement opportunities. Position is eligible for overtime.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Licensing and Permanency, this role oversees the licensing process for new foster parents, relative caregivers, and maintaining licenses for already licensed foster parents. Also, responsible for leading recruitment efforts to obtain new foster parents, especially Spanish-speaking foster parents.

• Conduct required in person visits to foster homes as required for licensing.
• Assist in keeping licenses current, including completion of necessary paperwork and providing training information.
• Encourage relative caregivers to become licensed/certified.
• Maintain licensing files and documentation for each foster parent.
• Help plan and implement recruitment efforts directed at recruiting new foster parents in the areas that Arden Shore serves, including attending community events.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance, and ability to complete required Illinois DCFS training and licensing examinations

Preferred

• Child welfare, foster care, adoption, or family services experience
• Bilingual Spanish/English speaking and writing abilities
• Strong public speaking and community outreach skills
