Arden Shore Child and Family Services is seeking a dedicated Foster Care Case Manager to provide multi-faceted case management and licensing approval services to children and families in relative foster care.

Salary: $60,000–$67,500 annually, based on education, experience, and bilingual qualifications.

Additional compensation:
Mileage reimbursement, professional development, and advancement opportunities. Position is eligible for overtime.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Foster Care provide multi-faceted case management and licensing approval services to children and families in relative foster care. Work for family reunification and support relative foster care placements. Complete require reports for assessments and other paperwork.

• Complete relative home studies and make recommendations about approval.
• Provide case management support to children and relative caretakers.
• Provide counseling and service referrals to biological parents to promote reunification efforts.
• Arrange and supervise family visits as necessary.
• Prepare required reports for court and case reviews and other paperwork in a timely manner.
• Make service referrals and arrange specialized assessments and services as required.
• Participate in case reviews, court hearings, and other meetings related to case planning and case management as required.
• Maintain files and documentation including social history, case plans, court reports, documentation of services and other necessary information.
• Participate in pre-service, in-service and other required and voluntary training as appropriate.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work of Master’s in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance, and ability to complete required Illinois DCFS training and licensing examinations.

Preferred

• 1 to 2 years of child welfare experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish and English verbal and written communication skills preferred.
• Well organized, ability to provide case management services with family prospective.
• Training or experience with child abuse/neglect and substance abuse.
• Complete training and pass relative foster care required tests.
• Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s service population.
