BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer for an opportunity in Chicago, IL / Richmond, VA / Kennesaw, GA!

Expected Duration: 12 months with potential to long term

Job Type: Contract >=40 HRS WEEKLY, ON-SITE

Pay Range: $60/hr – $68/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

• Responsible for designing and developing code to deliver functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability /ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset.
• Strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.
• Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements, estimating work, defect triage, code deployment and production release activities.
• Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria.
• Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.

• Overall 8+ years of Technology in application development using Java/J2EE, Unix Shell Scripting, REST APIs, Angular
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Angular, Mule Soft Anypoint Platform 4.x, Cloud Edition (PCE), Java 8+, Spring Boot
• 5+ years of experience working with RDBMS:
  Oracle 11g / SQL Server;
  Strong in DB SQL language
• Should have hands‑on experience in Angular, Mule implementation including Design, Development and Implementation
• Experience in writing mUnit Tests
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery practices and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible / Tower)
• Experience working in Agile development process and tools like Jira.
• Analytical and Problem solving skills
• Self‑motivated to learn on the job and demonstrate important skills like Communication, Teamwork, Accountability & Ownership
• Ability to work with global teams
• Ability and willingness to learn on the job
