The Registrar provides vision, leadership and management oversight for all major activities and the supervision of the staff within the Office of the Registrar. This includes oversight of student academic records and registration processes, including the maintenance and long term retention of student academic records; the development of the term course schedule and the schedule of classes; the scheduling of all classrooms;

the maintenance of the web registration system and processes; the collection and distribution of student grades; the certification of enrollment and degrees; the certification for graduation and preparation of diplomas; the monitoring of student academic standings; the enforcement of academic policies; and the maintenance of basic enrollment and demographic data. The Registrar also serves as a key player on the management of the Commencement Committee.

Responsibilities
  • Administer academic policy in accordance with federal law, AACRAO (American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers) guidelines, accrediting agency guidelines, and the University Catalog.
  • Manages the Office of the Registrar, including hiring and supervising staff, managing the office's budget, and ensuring the responsibilities of the office are being executed in an efficient, professional, and student-centered manor.
  • Coordinates with the Academic Steering Committee (ASC) to provide appropriate academic action for students who are not in good academic standing; handle routine and exceptional academic requests from students and parents; coordinate the academic petition and appeal process with appropriate ASC members and personnel; provide policy and best practice for academic curriculum and ensuring that new programs and courses are meeting federal requirements and Higher Learning Commission compliance.
  • Oversee curricular updates as lead administrator for Modern Campus Catalog and editor of undergraduate and graduate academic catalogs.
  • Manage the curriculum approval workflow through Modern Campus Curriculum, including tracking courses and program changes.
  • Establish clear protocols and documentation for catalog maintenance, program approvals, and coordination across units.
  • Develop and apply information management standards to ensure accuracy and consistency in catalog workflows, course data, and curriculum records.
  • Play lead role in implementing new technologies and processes;
    Lead role in all new program technologies for the Student Information System and other programs that affect Academics on campus.
  • Manage student files and complete registration reporting.
  • Work with new and current program initiatives to help determine viability of programs adjustments, including best practices, policy and procedure adherence and information gathering.
  • Collaborate with Academic Advising to ensure smooth transitions for all incoming students with registration and placement exams.
  • Provides leadership and supports Commencement program creation, diploma preparation, and participates in Commencement activities. Responsible for reviewing and checking audits and graduating all students.
