Position:Construction Scheduler
Under the direction of the Logistics Manager and Area Management team, the Construction Scheduler will be responsible for producing, managing and communicating daily construction schedules to ensure projects run efficiently.
Responsibilities- Generate a daily schedule for crews in southern Wisconsin including labor, materials, and equipment as directed by superintendents.
- Coordinate equipment, plants, and third‑party trucking in the best interest of Walbec.
- Assist in scheduling and ensuring efficient transport of floating equipment, graders, loaders, rollers, and other heavy equipment with Parisi transportation.
- Create a rolling two‑week schedule (updated as changes occur) and publish it electronically, accessible daily.
- Maintain the master schedule and long‑range schedule.
- Collect project data from local project management staff and superintendents to ensure an efficient and cost‑effective schedule.
- Schedule, monitor, and track Walbec floating equipment pool.
- Coordinate use and long‑range needs with Parisi superintendents.
- Maintain open communication with Parisi field/aggregate supervisors, technical services, area managers and project managers to ensure customer satisfaction with crew availability and scheduling efficiency.
- Participate in bi‑weekly scheduling meetings with superintendents and managers.
- Support other project managers and superintendents to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinate with scheduling managers from other Walbec business units for efficient crew and equipment utilization.
- Coordinate traffic control needs, including equipment location, duration, and pickup.
- Monitor crew personnel hours of service as requested by Area Management.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High School Diploma
- Ability to multi‑task
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft products
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Clear communication and effective teamwork skills
- Professional conduct under pressure and consistent integrity
- Road construction experience
- Bachelor’s, associate’s, trade school, or equivalent technical training
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, adapt to changing conditions, improve processes, and stay highly organized and detail‑focused
- Experience scheduling or working in a logistics environment, preferably in construction
