WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILSWaukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting for a talented Fiscal Assistant. This position is located in a fast‑paced, public‑facing Outpatient Clinic. Duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling appointments, checking in clients for service, verifying demographic and insurance information, answering phones, acquiring updated consent forms, contacting clients to schedule/reschedule appointments, and accepting payments. Duties may also include processing intake applications for walk‑in clients, including verifying residency requirements and researching insurance coverage in multiple portals.
This position is part of a team of four Fiscal Assistants that provide support for doctors, nurses, and therapists. The clinic can be noisy at times and the right candidate will be able to work effectively in a loud, busy environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of post high school work experience in finance or accounting.
- One year of post high school education from a recognized college or university in accounting, finance, business, or a closely related field may be substituted for the work experience requirement.
