Architectural Designer

You will take construction documents from development through completion, working closely with project managers and reviewing shop drawings while also mentoring less experienced designers as you grow. • Prepare complete, detailed construction drawings with minimal oversight and a solid understanding of applicable systems.
• Create code compliant plans, demonstrating strong knowledge of building code requirements and the research needed to meet them.
• Apply sound design principles to deliver functional, budget conscious, and visually appropriate solutions.
• Guide and develop team members through clear goals, performance standards, and feedback.
• Communicate professionally with clients when the project manager is unavailable, keeping the PM informed throughout.
• Prepare submittals and attend approval meetings when required.
• Coordinate closely with other disciplines to produce accurate, integrated documents.
• Manage workload efficiently and produce accurate, high quality drawings.
• Track project progress and alert the PM of schedule risks in advance.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and keep the PM updated on field issues during construction.
• Perform site visits and measurements to verify documents match completed work.

• Professional license preferred.
• Relevant associate's or bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
• Approximately four to ten years of relevant experience in architectural design and construction documentation.
