Graduate Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach, Carroll University
Classification:
Graduate Assistant – 12 Months – 1508 Hours – 29 hours per week

This position is designed to give the qualified candidate hands‑on experience with all facets of an intercollegiate men's lacrosse program. This is a two‑year position with the expectation of successful graduation from Carroll University with a Master’s Degree. This position is supervised by the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach.
Responsibilities- Assist head lacrosse coach in practice session and game preparation.
- Ability to instruct and coach lacrosse.
- Recruitment of new quality students/athletes for the lacrosse program.
- Assist in strength and conditioning coordinator with implementation of both in-season and out-of-season.
- Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by Carroll University, the athletics department policies, and NCAA and CCIW (College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) Bylaws and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission.
- Maintain full‑time status in an eligible Carroll University graduate program.
- Additional approval is required for entrance in graduate programs outside of Education.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Previous experience in coaching preferred.
- Participation in college‑level lacrosse preferred.
- Ability to function effectively as a team player within the program and athletics department.
- Ability to conduct self in a productive, professional manner at all times, representing Carroll University at the highest level as a role model and mentor for our student athletes.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, and related computer applications vital to organizational skills that ensure success in our program.
- Excellent communication skills as they relate to recruiting, working with parents, alumni, and current student athletes.
- Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle license and be insurable under the University's insurance plan.
Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). If this position is identified as a Campus Security Authority (Clery Act), you will be notified and provided resources for reporting. The Clery Act requires all prospective employees be notified of the availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety report.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities:
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to Public Safety and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
