Corpus Christi Parish School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and relationship-centered 2nd Grade Teaching Assistant to partner with our students and teachers in creating a joyful, faith-filled learning environment. This is more than a classroom support position—it is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, nurture each child's academic, social, and spiritual growth, and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families.

Working alongside the classroom teacher, the 2nd Grade Teaching Assistant helps create an engaging and supportive learning environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow in faith, knowledge, and character. As an integral member of our school community, the Teaching Assistant collaborates with teachers, staff, students, and families to advance the mission of Corpus Christi Parish School.

• Support the classroom teacher in providing engaging, high-quality instruction and learning experiences.
• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic skills and promote student success.
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, and daily classroom routines.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment rooted in Gospel values.
• Supervise students during classroom activities and other assigned school responsibilities.
• Encourage positive student behavior and model Christian values in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, staff, students, and families.
• Assist with other duties that support the success of students and the overall school community.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• A commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate s degree, college coursework in education, child development, or a related field, and/or previous experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
• A genuine love for working with elementary-aged children.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
• Flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude.
