Your role and responsibilities:
- Support sustainability initiatives in energy, waste, water, and carbon reduction.
- Track and analyze sustainability metrics to drive measurable improvements and contribute to ESG reporting and corporate sustainability commitments.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate sustainability and safety into new processes and projects.
- Lead and improve safety programs aligned with OSHA and company standards and support ISO 14001 compliance and environmental management systems.
- Identify and mitigate hazards through risk assessments, job safety analyses, and ergonomic evaluations; conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance at all levels.
- Drive incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver engaging safety training for employees and contractors.
- Manage safety documentation, KPIs, OSHA logs, and reporting.
- Preferred: CHMM, LEED Green Associate, Lean/Six Sigma, or sustainability reporting experience.
- Experience with Scope 2 & 3 emissions, CSRD, and CO₂ reduction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, chemical, or industrial engineering (or related field).
- Experience with Eco Vadis or similar ESG platform.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001 standards.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and drive improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, shop-floor-first mindset.
