- Lead high-impact engineering programs
- Define and develop technical requirements for complex engine components and systems.
- Drive multiple development projects using DFSS, DFR, CTQs, and DFMEA to ensure robust, reliable designs.
- Build and execute Design Validation Plans (DVP&R) using world-class test facilities and targeted field testing.
- Solve meaningful engineering challenges
- Perform analytical studies, calculations, and simulation requirements to guide design decisions.
- Lead root-cause investigations and cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting for both new and existing products.
- Be a technical leader and mentor
- Guide and develop engineers in design, drafting, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, applications, service, marketing, and suppliers.
- Ensure smooth execution of ECOs and business system processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Design Technology.
- At least 8 years of mechanical design or development experience with reciprocating internal combustion engines, engine-driven equipment, or similar industrial products.
- Strong command of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DVA tools.
- Experience with engine performance, FEA/simulation, testing, and mechanical development.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, quality tools (ISO, DFMEA, DFSS, DFR), and assembly methods.
- Leadership experience in new product development and current product support.
- Hands‑on experience with rapid prototyping.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a global engineering environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with clarity, structure, and technical rigor.
- Location:
Waukesha, WI. - Hybrid
Work Schedule:
Generally 3 days onsite (Mon/Wed/Thu) and 2 days working offsite (Mon/Fri). Specific days may adjust based on business requirements. - Travel:
Occasional travel, up to 10%, which may include both domestic and international destinations. - Visa Sponsorship:
