ABB Robotics Specialist – Senior Design & Deployment Lead
Bachelor’s-degreed professional (or equivalent expert) with 5+ years of dedicated ABB integration experience, mandatory proficiency in Robot Studio, passion for ground‑up system design, up to $120,000 pay, domestic and international travel up to 30%, must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder, no remote work, full‑time permanent W‑2 employee, full benefits, no relocation, located in Waukesha, Wisconsin area.
We are a custom industrial automation certified systems integration company seeking a Senior Design & Deployment Lead who loves cutting‑edge technology and values creativity and continuous learning.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and optimize robot programs using ABB Robot Studio and RAPID, focusing on integrating robotic systems with PLCs and automation controls.
- Contribute to the full project lifecycle, including system design, simulation, testing, and debugging.
- Perform initial set‑up, configuration, and system start‑up for ABB robotics and any related third‑party software.
- Resolve complex robotic and system integration issues both in‑house and on‑site, ensuring thorough program and system documentation.
- Travel up to 30% annually (domestic/international) for system installation, commissioning, and customer support.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience programming ABB robots in industrial automation environments.
- 2+ years of ABB Robot Studio and RAPID programming experience.
- 2+ years of PLC programming experience (Allen‑Bradley or similar).
- 2+ years of experience with industrial automation, motion control, and machine safety systems.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
- Solid work history.
- U.S. citizen or green card holder.
- Residence within a 45‑minute drive.
