Position Summary
This position functions as one of three Southeast Region signal engineers. The engineer collaborates with the traffic supervisor and staff to achieve safe and efficient signalized intersections. Responsibilities include the development of traffic signal design and operations plans, as well as monitoring those completed by the Civil Engineer Senior/Entry positions and consultants. With over 500 traffic signals in southeast Wisconsin, the engineer will have ownership of projects that affect the state’s highway system.
SalaryInformation
Annual salary range 14-13: $92,768–$112,237. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
Sign‑On BonusRecipients who have not held a permanent full‑time state service within the last five years and agree to remain in the position for one year are eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus, paid on the first paycheck.

Qualifications- Valid Professional Engineering registration; must be able to obtain Wisconsin PE registration within 3 months if registration is from another state.
