Job Overview
The Engineer is responsible for driving elements of the multi-generational product plan and product-specific development plans for advanced CT systems.
Responsibilities- Support existing CT systems products and new product development programs with component and equipment design, engineering analysis, and planning/conducting rigorous reliability and verification tests.
- Design electrical and power electronics circuitry for Premium CT hardware.
- Design, document and maintain power distribution architecture.
- Strategize electrical and power design architecture for Premium CT hardware.
- Drive design rigor adhering to best practices.
- Capture electrical design schematics using an ECAD system.
- Review and approve CMOS/ASIC layout done on the ECAD system.
- Drive operational excellence of assigned designs through project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost‑benefit analysis, prioritization, resourcing, initiation, execution and closure.
- Drive development of prototypes, performance testing and design documentation.
- Develop innovative designs that meet performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability requirements.
- Identify, select, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade test equipment.
- Evaluate engineering test plan requests and determine the best method/approach.
- Create, review and execute development and reliability planning, testing, and analysis activities.
- Coordinate resources and equipment needed to run engineering tests.
- Proactively resolve and elevate issues across functions during engineering development and tests.
- Communicate status, issues, risks and plans to management, especially “bad” news.
- Coordinate electrical strategy with digital architects/PEs locally and overseas design teams.
- BS in Electrical Engineering and minimum 7 years of industry electrical engineering experience.
- Experience with circuit design and simulation tools, including schematic design.
- Experience in circuit board layout and schematic capture.
- Experience designing switching power technologies (Buck/Boost, resonant converters).
- Practical experience with 150 kVA systems and/or higher voltage (
