Trystar's team members are our most important asset. We are searching for a Senior Product Compliance Manager to join our team (Burnsville, MN; Faribault, MN; Houston, TX; Charlotte NC; Waukesha WI). As part of the engineering team, you will see products from the engineering prototype phase to series production. You will manage a compliance engineering team ensuring Trystar's electrical power solutions comply with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
You will oversee the development and implementation of compliance strategies, manage testing and certification processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate compliance into product design and manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with deep knowledge of electrical engineering, regulatory standards, and team management. In this role you will get to:
- Ensure that all Trystar products meet applicable standards, including UL, NEC, IEEE, CSA, and other regional regulations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of compliance engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing and deployment.
- Oversee testing processes, coordinate with third-party certification bodies, and ensure timely certification of products.
- Partner with commercial, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements into product development and production processes.
- Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, prepare for audits, and address findings promptly.
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks related to product safety, performance, and regulatory changes.
- Stay updated on evolving regulations and industry trends, recommending process improvements to enhance compliance efficiency.
- Act as point of contact for regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or an equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in compliance engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or people management role.
