Position: Engineering Assistant I: Night Shift

Shift: Sun.

- Tues./Sun.

-Wed. 6pm-6am(402 - B Shift)

The Engineering Assistant I at Jabil, Inc. supports engineering teams in various tasks, contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of products and processes. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers with the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Support the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and test fixtures and JIGs
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and simulations under supervision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to products or processes.
  • Participate in prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
  • Strong foundational understanding of engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed in a manufacturing environment.
