Role
Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing design content relevant to the assembly of electrical components and transformer assemblies to the clients' set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments, validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise in Manufacturing Technology to solve problems in a manufacturing setting.
- Validate, read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
- Analyzes engineering change orders to system updates and implements changes to resolve problems.
- Update legacy assemblies and provide insight to client's continuous improvement ideology.
- Design improvements to aid the fabrication shop's current product implementations and new product implementation.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing and quality teams in the qualification process of assembly integration to production systems.
- Record procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or method.
- Maintains software, documentation and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications.
- Assists engineers in developing and designing hardware and software required for all production solutions per specifications.
- Trains other technicians and operators on products, processes and equipment.
- Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment.
- Support Production Document updates and complete Design Record redlines.
- B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
- Understanding and has hands on experience of Transformer and electrical component assembly build processes.
- Familiar with Electrical panel build termination process required to UL and NEC codes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt and Issue Resolution process Knowledge.
- Can use 3D modeling application and CAD to complete design record updates.
