This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee and inspect construction progress ensuring compliance with engineering standards
- Validate materials, grade, and workmanship through precise field checks
- Maintain accurate reports, drawings, and project documentation
- Communicate professionally with contractors, engineers, and municipal representatives
- Identify and resolve construction challenges proactively
- Lead on-site coordination and safety efforts to ensure project efficiency
- Mentor junior technical staff and support their professional growth
- Provide constructability insight and feedback to design teams
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in municipal construction inspection, engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of construction methods, municipal specifications, and industry best practices
- Proven ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with field reporting technology and digital documentation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
