SUMMARY: The Sr. Promotions & Entertainment Specialist coordinates all marketing, promotions, and entertainment activities at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino. This role ensures smooth execution of casino promotions, special events, entertainment, sponsor ships, and advertising initiatives while maintaining brand consistency and enhancing the guest experience. The Specialist works closely with the Director of Marketing, Marketing Manager, internal teams, and external vendors to plan, schedule, and implement creative and operational marketing efforts across multiple departments.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promotions & Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate all details and communications related to promotions, special events, sponsor ships, in-house advertising, and direct mail with all departments.
- Maintain promotional calendars, memos, and matrices; ensure consistency and accuracy of information across all mediums.
- Review promotion builds and event plans to ensure proper execution and alignment with marketing goals.
- Assist with promotional event coordination, including uploading offers to property kiosks and supporting on-property marketing activities.
- Monitor promotion performance and collaborate with departments to optimize outcomes.
- Use industry knowledge, competitor information, and market trends to recommend new promotions or enhancements to existing initiatives.
Entertainment & Advertising Coordination
- Coordinate all entertainment and advertising details with internal departments and external partners.
- Maintain billboard contracts and schedules, ensuring timely updates and accurate billing.
- Manage ticketing for events, including providing tickets to Council Members, radio stations, and other promotional outlets.
- Support the development of media scripts for television, radio, or other advertising channels.
- Work with entertainment agencies, Convention Sales, Hotel, F&B, Lake Club, Marketing Designers, and Facility Administrators to ensure contractual agreements and event requirements are fulfilled.
- Assist with entertainment show setup/teardown, green room preparation, and on-site event support as needed.
- Review entertainment contracts and recommend changes to leadership.
- Maintain effective systems for calendars, checklists, and documentation related to entertainment and marketing initiatives.
General Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Marketing leadership and other departments to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
- Participate in departmental meetings to support marketing concepts, promotional activities, and public relations campaigns.
- Assist Marketing Department staff with editing, expediting information, and general administrative tasks as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Operates independently under direction from the Integrated Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing.
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
- Internal: Continual contact with associates at all levels of the organization.
- External: Continual contact with guest, visitors, suppliers, entertainment and advertising agencies.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Casino Operations, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of marketing, promotions, or entertainment coordination experience, preferably in a casino, hospitality, or entertainment environment is required. Experience coordinating events, advertising campaigns, or entertainment programs preferred. Prior exposure to supplier/vendor negotiation, ticketing systems, or direct mail campaigns a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service orientation with ability to manage confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency with PC applications and standard office software. Comfortable working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and Scheduling: Is responsible for the planning and scheduling of own work activities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Is responsible for participating in the development and adherence to the Marketing Department Budget.
- Responsibility for Establishing Objectives, Policies or Standards: Is responsible for participating in the establishment of departmental objectives, standards, policies and procedures for review by the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager.
