Position: Digital Manufacturing Engineer (MES / OT Systems)

Community Health Services is seeking a Clinical Director of Adult Medicine to lead our Adult Medicine Department. This leadership role combines direct patient care with administrative oversight
, ensuring high-quality clinical operations, patient satisfaction, and provider performance.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer
, the Clinical Director will collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Practice Manager, and Director of Infectious Diseases to guide departmental strategy, improve workflows, and maintain clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Adult Medicine Department
  • Deliver direct patient care while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence
  • Support clinical staff in providing efficient, patient-centered care
  • Supervise advanced practice providers including APRNs and PAs
Operational Management
  • Improve clinical operations, provider workflows, and patient satisfaction
  • Support departmental financial performance and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement departmental strategies
  • Participate in enterprise-level initiatives and quality improvement programs
Staff Development & Management
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain clinical providers and staff
  • Manage performance and disciplinary processes when necessary
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Participate in professional practice evaluations and quality initiatives
  • Use data analysis to guide evidence-based decisions
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Ability to deliver high-quality patient care efficiently
  • Experience working with underserved populations with complex medical needs
  • Experience supervising APRNs and Physician Assistants
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make evidence-based decisions
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Demonstrated initiative, judgment, and problem-solving ability
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Community Health Services
Preferred
  • Physician License in the State of Connecticut
  • Experience working in a large health center or private practice
  • Experience in leadership roles such as Director or Associate Director
  • Experience with:
    • Provider recruitment and onboarding
    • Staff retention and discipline
    • Compliance related to clinical practice
    • Strategic planning and departmental leadership
