Position: Human Resource/ Safety Manager

Manages the implementation and coordination of all personnel related policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local employment laws. Assists the business in achieving goals through productive and engaged employees. Attracts and retains talent and effectively engages department personnel.

Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in Human Resources/Safety activities such as compensation and benefits, staffing, employee development, training, workers compensation and legal compliance
  • Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification preferred
  • Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems preferred
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Expert knowledge of employment and safety laws, policies, and regulations
  • Knowledge of database software and human resources computer application systems. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred
  • Understands wage laws, confidentiality policies, employee notification requirements, and other regulatory policies
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Degree in Human Resources/Business Management or equivalent experience required
  • Flexibility to travel to locations as required.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full hiring cycle, including writing job descriptions, posting openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and making hiring recommendations. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding HR and Safety-related inquires and concerns. Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance on employee related issues.
  • Oversees employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence management. Conducts benefits orientation for new employees and assist with open enrollment periods
  • Ensure compliance with all Human Resources and Safety regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation. Assists in preparing for audits and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Develops employee policies and procedures for the organization and counsels' managers and employees on the adherence to the policies, procedures, laws and regulations
