Senior Field Application Engineer - AI Compute Systems

Overview

We are now looking for a Field Applications Engineer! NVIDIA’s AI platforms have made a major impact across academia, startups, and industry, including the world’s largest enterprise companies. This role is for a specialist in system design and networking to help our customers harness AI as the new computing revolution.

• Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and deployment issues.
• Serve as a technical specialist on GPU and networking products directly supporting sales account managers, delivering outstanding AI datacenter solutions.
• Build and maintain technical relationships with customer engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
• Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
• Deliver technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Travel up to 30% of the time.

• BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of work-related experience in the high‑tech electronics industry in a system design or technical customer support role.
• In‑depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data‑center hardware.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment while maintaining focus.
• Strong multitasking, analytical, problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills.

• Large‑scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
• Networking knowledge – TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, switches, etc.
• Embedded Linux system, API, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
• Experience with OEMs in industrial, military, and ruggedized computing.
• Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems for thermal management, power distribution, cabling, rack layout, and CPU architecture.

Base salary ranges: $132,000 – $207,000 for Level3, $160,000 – $253,000 for Level
4. Eligible for equity and benefits.
