Main Line Talent Group (MLTG) is a boutique recruiting firm specializing in ERP talent for manufacturing and distribution companies across the US and Canada. We place direct hire and contract professionals across the full spectrum of mid-market and enterprise ERP platforms — including Epicor (Kinetic, Prophet 21, Eclipse, Bis Track), Acumatica, Infor (CSI/Syteline, LN, M3, Visual), SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, and more.
Our niche focus means we understand the platforms our clients run on and the skills that actually matter, so placements move faster and fit better.
Our client, a growing manufacturer in a complex, high-mix production environment, is seeking a Material Planner – Advanced Planning to support the Master Planner in maintaining accurate material plans and reviewing Infor Syte Line Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) outputs. In this role, you'll monitor shortages, planned orders, supplier dates, inventory, jobs, and planning exceptions to help ensure materials are available when needed.
You'll run daily and weekly planning activities in Infor Syte Line APS, validate planning results against customer orders and production schedules, trace supply through multi-level bills of material, and recommend purchase, job, transfer, reschedule, or expedite actions. This is an experienced individual-contributor role that works cross-functionally with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Program Management, executing established planning processes and escalating significant risks and tradeoffs to the Master Planner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running assigned Infor Syte Line APS planning activities and reviewing exception messages, shortage reports, and demand changes
- Maintaining time-phased material plans and monitoring material availability against production schedules
- Coordinating with buyers and commodity managers on supplier commitments and recovery dates
- Maintaining planning data such as lead times, order minimums, safety stock, and planning fences
- Monitoring inventory levels, shortages, and obsolescence exposure, and driving shortage lists to closure
- Participating in production, shortage, and S&OP meetings
- Tracking planning metrics (material availability, past-due supply, schedule attainment) and recommending process improvements
