Part-time Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot building mechanical problems.
  • Inspects, repair and/or replaces all physical plant equipment including boilers, laundry equipment, compressors, pumps, ventilation systems, air conditioners, air handling units and emergency generator. Inspects and make repairs to wheelchairs, lifts, and various other medical equipment. repairs room surfaces including drywall repair and painting.
  • Perform miscellaneous repairs, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on equipment ensuring satisfactory operations.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, various heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
  • Follow established safety rules, policies, and procedures of the maintenance department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a group.
  • Preferred experience as a service employee in a building maintenance department, hospital, or nursing home.
  • Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be vaccinated for Covid-19 or have an exemption in place.
  • Must be able to work 30+ hours per week with on-call rotation.
