Custodian

Collect and remove refuse and dispose of properly.

Sweep, clean and mop floors, vacuum clean rugs and furniture, wash and wax furniture, wash windows and dust.

Clean and sanitize lavatories and wash basins, clean mirrors, fill dispensers and replenish supplies.

Clean messes in general areas as well as school as needed.

Perform summer detail cleaning, yard work and winter snow removal duties.

Set up chairs and tables for events as needed.

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor as needed with maintenance work.

Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to maintain facilities in a user-friendly condition.

Position may possibly begin as immediate part-time work and transition to full-time in June.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 75 lbs., squat, bend, and reach above the shoulders throughout the day.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous training and/or applicable experience using variety of tools and equipment is preferred.
• Requires knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in building, cleaning and grounds upkeep.
