Dixon Sanitary, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is looking for a skilled Quality Control Manager to serve as a key bridge between our engineering teams and our production and supplier partners. In this role, you'll translate complex engineering tolerances into clear, manufacturable requirements-ensuring that every component is built to meet our quality standards.
You'll play a critical role early in the product development cycle, guiding teams on how to design quality into every part from day one. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative position where your expertise will directly influence product reliability, manufacturability, and supplier performance.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-driven professional who can balance long-term improvement initiatives with day-to-day problem solving. Success in this role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of continuous improvement and iterative design.

What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of quality technicians.
- Facilitate regular cross-departmental meetings, bridging gaps between design intent and manufacturing practicality.
- Apply manufacturing, quality, and engineering methods to maintain dimensional tolerances and reduce scrap.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.
- Review and approve 2D drawings with manufacturing feasibility in mind; obtain required quality stamps.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RGA) and manage Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for defects, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
- Provide actionable feedback to Engineering and Production.
- Operate and interpret data from advanced and basic measuring equipment, including but not limited to:
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical Comparator
- Micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, radius gauges, ring and plug gauges, hardness testers, thread gauges, indicators, and protractors
- Interpret and apply standards such as ANSI, ASTM, API, ISO 9001, and ASME Y14.5 (GD&T).
- Manage gauge calibration and maintain calibration databases.
- Perform internal and external quality audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience may be considered
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in quality assurance/control, ideally in a manufacturing or prototyping environment.
- CAD software certificate such as; CSWA (SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Associate Certificate) or CSWP (SOLIDWORKS CAD Design Professional Certificate).
- Completion of management or leadership courses such as Scrum Master, PMP, 6sigma, etc.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications using GD&T standards.

- Hands-on mechanical aptitude for fitting and assembling parts for functional testing.
- Proficient in software tools including Microsoft Office, Solid Works, CAM, and PDM systems. Ability to adapt to new platforms as needed.
