The Fabricator performs a variety of operations to layout and fabricates a diversified line of metallic and non-metallic parts for KHS USA machines.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Layout and fabricate a diversified line of products using a variety of machines and equipment including CNC machines, milling, press brakes, lasers, shears and welding equipment.
  • Receives work order from Production control. Estimates time and material for fabrication work orders.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Sets up and operates CNC machines, sheet metal fabricating and forming machines to produce parts in accordance with specifications; conducts trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
  • Measures, marks, and scribes' dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as bend brakes, punches, mills and routers.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Perform assembly work which may involve fitting, spot welding, riveting etc.
  • Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Conducts routine maintenance on primary machine(s).
  • Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Your Profile:
  • High school diploma or GED. Technical certificate from a trade school,
  • At least 3 years of experience with press brakes
  • At least 3 years of experience with lasers, preferably Bystronic
  • Knowledgeable about most aspects of precision CNC machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings and manuals
