Transformer Assembly Technician - 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Transformer Assembly Technician - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is a range of $26.20 - $27.77 + $2.50 shift premium per hour. The hours for this shift are 3pm - 11pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000
* paid in two installments, less applicable withholding.

What You'll Do

Position overview: As a Transformer Assembler, you'll build large three-phase and pad-mounted transformers that help deliver reliable electricity to homes, businesses, hospitals, and critical infrastructure. This is not repetitive assembly line work. You'll use mechanical, electrical, and technical skills to assemble complex equipment where quality and attention to detail matter.

In this role you will:
• Build and assemble transformer components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Install and connect internal transformer components, electrical leads, bushings, switches, current transformers, and other critical assemblies.
• Position and secure transformer cores and coils within transformer tanks.
• Assemble and install accessories such as gauges, pressure relief devices, thermometers, and monitoring equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Verify proper clearances, insulation placement, and component fit to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Perform electrical checks and resistance testing on completed assemblies.
• Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment to move large components safely.
• Collaborate with teammates to build high-quality products while maintaining safety and workmanship standards.
• Take ownership of your work and contribute to building products that power essential infrastructure around the world.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:One year of experience in any of the following is highly valued:
