CNC Set-Up Operator II – 1st Shift

Shift: 1st (6:30am – 3:00pm M-F)

Hourly Wage: $27+ based on experience

The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, specializes in customized electrical insulation products. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a CNC Set-Up Operator II to join our team.

• Implement the Production Fulfillment Process for the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements.
• Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company standards.
• Set up, adjust, and identify programming, and operate numerically controlled machine tools.
• Operators may run more than one machine simultaneously.

• Operates multiple types of fabrication equipment and tools using CNC machining centers to manufacture a variety of custom parts.
• Adjusts G & M codes at HAAS machines via Master Cam.
• Follows written instructions and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications.
• Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications.
• Maintains count and performs packaging duties as required.
• Participates in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.

• 2+ years of experience, or equivalent
• A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred

• This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
