Work Assignment DetailsWaukesha County's Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a talented and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor to supervise second and night shift staff that serves community members working towards bettering their mental health. This position will work primarily in the adult psychiatric inpatient setting. It will be scheduled to work Monday - Friday on second shift (3pm to 11:30pm). Some flexibility from this schedule may be needed for weekly meetings.
This supervisor will be responsible for overseeing second and night shift staff, admissions and discharges from the inpatient setting, and providing direct patient care. The supervisor will perform annual performance reviews, education, and potentially disciplinary interventions for direct reports.
The Mental Health Center is certified to provide mental health and substance use inpatient treatment services and maintains a close working relationship with Waukesha Memorial Hospital and other community agencies and partners.

The services offered at the Mental Health Center focus on resilience, successful community living, and great life satisfaction. Minimum Training & Experience Requirements- License or eligibility to receive a license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is preferred.
- Three (3) years of responsible work experience in nursing or education.
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a master's degree in nursing or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required work experience.
