College of Health, Education and Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin‑Green Bay seeks applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Nursing & Health Studies. The successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit which embraces a team‑based approach and innovative teaching methods to develop students who can think critically while delivering high quality care. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW‑Green Bay’s mission‑driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in didactic, skills/simulation, and clinical.
- Advise and mentor students on academic and career direction within a specific field of study.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with acute and long‑term care healthcare clinical sites.
- Contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the Nursing & Health Studies programs.
- Facilitate optimal learning through integration of technology and utilization of appropriate delivery methods.
- Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first‑generation backgrounds at UW‑Green Bay.

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Required Qualifications:
- Earned Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution prior to start date. Individuals enrolled in an MSN program and completing the final program requirements may be considered.
- 2 years of recent nursing experience.
- Unencumbered Wisconsin Nursing license at time of hire.
- Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience, preferably in nursing.
- Recent clinical nursing experience with preference given for experience in medical surgical, maternity, pediatrics, or critical care.
Conditions of Appointment:
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to teach a course or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus based on operational needs. The position is a full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure track academic year Instructional Academic Staff appointment. A pre‑employment education check, including verification of academic credentials, will be conducted on the finalist(s).
A criminal conviction investigation will also be conducted in compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of arrest or conviction record.
Unencumbered Wisconsin Nursing license or ability to obtain a Wisconsin Nursing license is required; must have an unencumbered Wisconsin Nursing license at the time of employment.
Employer may not offer H‑1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
