Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our nursing team within the Outpatient Behavioral Health and Substance Use Services Clinic. This is a regular full-time benefitted position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m. The Outpatient Clinic is located within the Waukesha County Human Services Center (514 Riverview Avenue, Waukesha).
Primary duties will include nursing support for clients receiving psychiatric prescribing services within the Waukesha County DHHS outpatient services array. Support services may include: administering injectable psychotropic medication, vitals assessment, health education, urine drug screens, coordination with pharmacies and psychiatric prescribers, order entry, triage of client inquiries regarding symptoms or medication needs, and other nursing duties as identified.
The Department may choose to underfill this position at the Licensed Practical Nurse level. The pay range for LPN is $31.09 - $41.01.
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements (Registered Nurse)- Graduation from a recognized registered nursing education program.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin.
- OR a temporary State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse permit and attainment of the Registered Nurse license within 6 months of employment.
- Graduation from a recognized program in practical nursing.
- Licensure for practical nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
