Carroll University is hiring for a Grounds Crew Worker - Full-Time, Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pm
As a Grounds Crew Worker, you play a key role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our university's outdoor spaces. This position offers the chance to work outdoors year-round, contributing to the care of lawns, landscapes, athletic fields, walkways, and campus features that students, faculty, and visitors rely on every day. Education and/or Experience
- High school graduate (diploma/GED) required
- Knowledge and ability to use hand tools/heavy Equipment
- Mechanical knowledge preferred
- Ability to work out of doors in all types of weather
- Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of job
- Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type.
- Has valid motor vehicle license and be insurable under the University's insurance plan preferred
- Shift worked may be adjusted by your supervisor based on departmental needs
- Must be available for a mandatory On-Call operation for the winter season
- Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission.
- Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). If this position is identified a Campus Security Authority (Clery Act), you will be notified and provided resources for reporting. The Clery Act requires all prospective employees be notified of the availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety report.
