Sales Representative, Sales Development Rep/SDR
Our client, an HVAC/R manufacturer’s representative based in Wisconsin is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to add to their HVAC Aftermarket/Hydronic team to specialize in HVAC Parts Sales. This business provides HVAC sales, commissioning and support to a variety of clients in the Wisconsin Market and this position acts as the sales support – order entry, quoting, research and quote/proposal delivery - in relation to a variety of HVAC/R Parts.
The role is based in Waukesha, includes normal M-F hours, NO on‑call hours, NO travel, and delivers ongoing training and certification programs. The role pays $65K-$75K based on experience strong benefit/bonus program.
The key to this role is any past experience working with HVAC Parts and components and a proven ability to be organized, show attention to detail and further learn the HVAC/R business. The incumbent will:
- Learn about HVAC equipment, Hydronics technology and associated components to assist with customer requests.
- Prepare quotations, including pricing and estimates, as required.
- Read and interpret mechanical plans to ensure accurate order handling.
- Enter and revise orders in supplier‑provided software.
- Update internal ERP system – Infor/Net Suite
- Monitor and communicate order statuses to customers and the sales team.
- Generate and review inspection reports.
- Identify sales opportunities and route to appropriate salesperson
- Office duties - answer phones, customer inquiries, basic customer service
- 2+ years experience in the professional workforce (office/sales role)
- 1+ years working in the HVAC/R arena with an understanding of a variety of HVAC parts and components.
- 1+ years experience working with customers – communicating daily customer information
- Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel and Word
- Strong phone presence
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to “figure things out”
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Experience using a CRM – Infor and/or Net Suite
- Experience in Hydronics systems
- Familiarity with reading mechanical plans.
