Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Waukesha, WI. This role is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our two‑building campus, including both indoor and outdoor areas. The technician will perform routine inspections and repairs, keep key systems like heating and electrical working properly, while also helping to maintain grounds, walkways, and exterior fixtures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, technical aptitude, and a commitment to keeping our facilities running smoothly and safely.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on facility infrastructure, including walls, doors, lighting, and furniture.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
- Respond promptly to service requests and facility‑related emergencies.
- Assist licensed technicians and contractors with installations, repairs, and upgrades.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to support logistics and facility operations.
- Support office moves, workspace setups, and furniture assembly.
- Monitor building systems and report issues or needed repairs to supervisors.
- Lead construction projects and contribute to planning and execution of ongoing building improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and contribute to a safe, functional work environment
- Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
