Work Assignment DetailsDo you enjoy variety and the opportunity to work on something different every day? Waukesha County Central Fleet is hiring a Mechanic to repair and maintain the equipment that supports critical County operations, including the Public Works, Sheriff's, and Parks departments.
This is a first‑shift, Monday through Friday position, and Waukesha County provides all tools, uniforms, and reimbursements for items such as work boots and safety glasses.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of experience in the major overhaul and repair of diesel and gasoline powered vehicles and equipment.
- Recognized post high school training directly in mechanical maintenance may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to one (1) year's work experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with airbrake endorsement within six (6) months of employment.
