JM Electrician

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring JM Electrician in Waukesha, WI. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for commercial and residential new construction and tenant improvement (TI) projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail environments, including specific project experience with restaurant builds and complex commercial remodels in the Waukesha area.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30 to $45 Per Hour BOE

• Execute electrical installations for commercial and residential new builds, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Perform electrical work for tenant improvement (TI) projects, with a specific focus on retail and restaurant environments.
• Install, bend, and route conduit to accommodate wiring needs for various commercial structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical wiring diagrams to plan installation layouts.
• Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
• Install and maintain lighting fixtures, electrical panels, transformers, switches, and motors.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to minimize downtime on construction sites.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure work is completed on schedule and meets NEC standards.

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician, specifically in commercial retail and residential new construction.
• Demonstrated experience with tenant improvement (TI) projects and restaurant-specific electrical needs.
• Possession of all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and standard electrical hand tools.
• In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on contract-based assignments.
• Reliable transportation to commute to job sites throughout the Waukesha, WI region.

• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and poles to perform overhead work.
• Must have manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination for handling small components.
• Physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits and digging or back-filling trenches.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to see color to accurately discern color-coded wiring.
• Capable of working in inclement weather conditions and around dust, fumes, or loud noises.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $30 to $45 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
